Which Thickness of rubber roofing is best for my roof? (1.2mm or 1.5mm)

Another question we are asked every day- what thickness does my membrane need to be?

Whilst both membranes are perfect for all residential and commercial flat-roofing applications and are installed in the same way, if there is going to be anything going over the top of the roof, such as decking, screed and tiles, ballast, or even a green-roof, we will advise that the 1.5mm membrane is used for extra protection.

The 1.5mm rubber weights just over 2Kg p/sqm and the 1.2mm weights 1.5Kg p/sqm

Do you provide custom shapes? rather than the standard rectangle? Planning a corner shaped outbuilding so require a triangle shaped EPDM roof.

Could you put resin bound flooring on top of the 1.5mm rubber roof or would it damage/puncture it?
