Honestly the best tutorial I saw in my life. Even I'm a old player of Albion still really enjoyed this video and already sent to some friends. Very good job, thanks for that

I'd like to add one note about solo dungeons for new players that veteran players seem to forget because they are in fact veterans. IF YOU ARE BRAND NEW TO ALBION, do go and do a fair amount of solo dungeons once you finish the tutorial area. I believe solo dungeons main purpose now in Albion is to teach players the basic mechanics of PvE in Albion in a safe environment that allows you to fail and try again without being punished. I know that when I first started Albion, it took me some time to learn how to move my character around to easily avoid AoE attacks, how to iframe mechanics etc. Solo dungeons really help new players learn these mechanics so they are better prepared for the open world PvE which will inevitably involve PvP. Just don't get stuck doing them as your main content, because as Big Lips said, they are simply the worst form of silver and fame generation in the game. Use them as a learning tool to get the basics of PvE down in Albion and then move on from them once you feel comfortable PvEing in Albion.

Random Tips for the Black Zone:

1. Learn when it is most dangerous: This means read the timers for the black zone, each zone has a timer of oppertunity at the top of it that tells you when player owned assets in the zone can be vulnerable, territories and hideouts. When this window is up DO NOT get lax in those zones, ESPECIALLY the start. That's when you may see huge zergs running around or players that are related to those assets will be extra trigger happy. That said if you see a large zerg and you are not running around in full 8.3 chances are they won't bother you too much as they are going to be travelling to objectives...but this comes down to who is leading them. Also when outposts/castles are up (Chests will be seen on the world map) stay away from those objects or near pathways around those zones, people there are much more likely to attack you. unless the object is literally about to open.

2. Learn to reset your presence: If you are trying to avoid PvP or you just killed someone and alerted everyone to you, understand what it means to reset your presence in a zone. Get out of there, goto a road, enter a dungeon and hide out for a while. Make people lose track of you. It can be frightening when people smell someone in a zone that has a loot of stuff on them such as clocking you at a 8.3 node or seeing you kill someone and they suddenly summon an army to get you. Once you've disappeared from the map long enough such as through a solo/corrupted dungeon jump or on the Ava roads, you can re-enter the map and resume your activities with a clean slate.

3. Watch your carry weight: This should be learned before you even go in the black zone but it is staggering how often people will blindly loot shit without checking their carry weight which disables recalling and slows you down immensely.

4. Judge intent: Read what players are doing and what it means to you. If you see someone in the inner ring standing around a zone exit and is in cheap gear or is carrying a high CC weapon regardless of tier, they could be a scout for a bigger group past them, you might want to hold off going into the zone behind them. If you suddenly get chased and they are not stopping despite having similar mount speeds it is more than likely that they are keeping track of you for their friends, you should try to veer unpredictably and jump into a corrupted dungeon or otherwise zone out. If someone is fishing they likely won't bother you even if they spot you. An immensely large zerg moving could well be on their way to an objective and MAY not stop to try to get you if time is against them. Getting a feel for what people could be doing is a good way to keep yourself alive longer.

Really wish for the devs to add more solo pve content because I like soloing and pve rather than pvp

Instead of choosing a random gathering skill for silver... chose one if your build requires one of the gathering gear. For example I main hellfire hands. In order to land my e efficiently since it has a .95 second cast time so it's normally easy to dodge. I chose to focus gathering fiber so I can use the gathering helment for the sleep ability to make my build viable. So even when gathering my pvp build also gets stronger.

New player here. Been going through guides and yours by far is right at the top of what fits my needs.
Just a good explanation of fundamentals without telling me to WEAR THIS or WEAR THAT.
Thanks a lot!

As i play more Albion the more i realise u are one of the few legit and honest Albion yt for new plyrs. Keep up the good work and kindly pls upload more frequently. Watching u for years made me attached to this channel, so ur more kind of a family to me. So sometimes it really scares me that if u have quite the channel. I live in a 3rd world country thus international transactions have many requirements which i haven't acquired yet, so i couldn't sub. Sorry for that.

I'm new to the game and this video does help.
I used to play Everquest way back when it first came out and was heavy into the RP until Sony killed it and have been looking for a similar game since.
I do hope Albion will come somewhat close to my experiences from back then. I'm too new to have definitive opinion yet.

I found gathering to widely vary based on what zone/maps you start in. I recently started a new character on EU launch and made roughly 1 million per/day gathering and killing mobs in open-world out of Lymhurst with Wood and Hide as my two gathering trees. I since joined a guild in Martlock and my income tanked hard because their zones are much more barren. A lot of those maps are open space where as the Lymhurst areas are very dense for resource gathering for some reason. I don't know why this is, or if it is even intentional but it was very apparent after switching faction cities as my base of operations that Martlock area maps have a lot more open space and less resource density to stay in one small part of a tile and farm. In Lymhurst I could easily find areas where there would be 5-10 nodes around and I would make a small circle collecting them all quickly around 1-2 rarer .1-.3 nodes.

Spot on regarding Hide even this many months later. Rarer hide spawns are very lucrative.

Honestly the best advice is to get into a guild with veteran player who show you the game. Don't be a zvz slave but engage in all parts of content.

As for building your economy, I cannot recommend Personal Islands, in fact I demolished every labourer house on my guild islands.

Some people enjoy gathering (it takes like 10 hours of gathering time to reach t8 and good money) - cannot recommend it rly

Start by transporting items t4 4.1 5.0 5.1 to the caerleon black market, lookup item prices on the normal market and the black market on websites. You can easily get premium in a week just by doing that every day for 20minutes. Once you have like 10million + try to get into crafting 1 item, get good specs when you can afford to craft 8.3 etc you are basically rich by using your Fokus :)
