iPhone 16 Pro Max Charging Speed Test: Is It Faster?

We test wired charging speeds on all four new iPhone 16 models to see if they are any faster than previous iPhones. We also do a full 1-100% charging test to see the time it takes to charge each one.

Most people don’t care about fast charging when you get a day or more usage out of a phone. Most people charge their phone at night. This also helps protect battery health, life, and longevity for the phone to last.

have you tried a fast charging cable not using the stock cable coming with Iphone? i have heard this makes also a difference!

No sugar coating it - iPhones charge really slowly. But the one upside is that people who use their phone plugged in while driving for maps and music streaming, can at least charge their phones a bit faster

I have a question. If you game on the iphone 16 and 16 pro, how much watts is it charging with? We know that iphone plus and pro max are around 38 watts, close to 40

usually we charge from 20 to 80% it will takes 30min.

I am still using the iPhone XR and the charging duration is indeed designed like that. It takes me about 1 hour and 45 minutes from 20-100% which is similar to 0-100%, I only use a 10 watt charger

Quite slow charging. Wireless more impressive. If they last that matters. But Samsung s24u now out lasts apple and charges fully in an hour. Some android phones can fully charge in 5 or 10 mins. Ideally charge in 45 mins with 65w charger and last 24 to 36 hours.

Charging at quicker rate depletes battery health in the longer run
So so all those who want 100 % in 30 minutes your phone's battery is going to loose it's strength quickly over an year or so

I think that’s really sad and misleading bad advertising when they say the new 16s can charge at 45 W but yeah they don’t even get close to that and then the fifteens are supposed to charge at like 27 or but they’re not getting closer to that either. Why does Apple say they charge a high wide inputs but don’t even come close to reaching those numbers?
