THIS IS HOW I'VE LEARNED TO CRAFT MY BASS TONE over the last several years of being a part of Gable Price and Friends, Bethel Music, playing at church, and tracking for various songs and projects.
IN PART 1, I'll talk you through how I approach my tone with the physical gear that I use -- My Bass, Strings, Picks, Pedals - ALL OF IT! There is method to the madness! (Spoiler: it involves a lot of fuzz)
PART 2 is where we'll take it over to Pro Tools and talk about how I treat Bass once I've recorded it.

When you hear those tones in a live setting, it is a whole new world. The bass player drives the entire band and when done right is really special.

this is simply AWESOME. Not many of the professionals give such honest and detailed deep dives in their tone and settings, feels like most "hide" some sweet sauce or the cherry on top.

Adding the RNDI to the end of my chain improved the overall balance and quality of my signal significantly. The transformer design just glues the crunchy stuff together so well.

Man, I wish my tech had the same mindset as you. I brought my pedals with me to church, and apparently he doesn’t like a more bright and colorful bass. He went behind my back and adjusted the EQ on the soundboard and made it WAY too subby and bottom end heavy
