I forgot to mention in your earlier video that being aware of someone following you home, or elsewhere, is also very important.

Great information, but it does reiterate the total disregard by many manufacturers re lack of car security from factory, and abysmal verbal security advice and specific information regarding the cars being sold to customers 😏😡

On a jovial note, for some, including myself.
As a child, back in the 80's UK. The tv programme tomorrow's world showed an in car security systems from South Africa.
I remember 2 specific systems.
Firstly, a built-in flame thrower to protect the side doors re car jacking, but far more memorable, a built-in to the driver's seat head rest hidden gun!
One needed to input a code before starting the vehicle, from memory??

As a heavy duty truck tech for 30 years I’ve installed hidden micro toggle switches that control either power or ground at crucial electronic components like ECMs and TCMs .If it don’t run you can’t steel it or disable the data link so the computers can’t communicate

Wouldn't disabling passive keyless entry mitigate the relay attacks even without the faraday box?

Here is mine:

1. Drive a manual transmission.
2. remove one of the relays in the fuse box area, and keep on you.

Simple cheap. No purchase necessary.

I always put steering wheel lock, i don't really trust techy safety features bcoz car thieves have high tech equipment also. we can't prevent 100% but atleast making it very hard for them to steal it. they'll go to another car that they can easily steal.

How about using an $80 brake pedal lock? Thieves can still get in the car and start it, but they can't drive it away. They can't even saw off the brake pedal lock. Simple solution and probably the most sensible.
