for as long as the tundra has been in the market with next to nothing updates, there should be ZERO recalls

Well the Toyota is the worst truck you can buy now the V6 is in a lemon 🍋 law because of mains burning up an locking the engine. It’s a new low for Toyota but I always hated the Toyota.

Ford makes so many changes, so often, it’s no wonder. If Ram could produce the reliability of Toyota, I don’t think much would hold them back from being the top seller.

It just goes to show you, when you dont build a fucking rocket ship on wheels or you dont build trucks for yuppies, they can be very reliable

My co workers new Ram stays in the shop. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. See a lot of Tacoma’s which seem to be really good.

Toyota tundra is the most reliable half ton truck.
Tundra is the only half ton truck has been proven to reach 1 million miles without any engine repairs. My 2012 tundra with 226k miles has everything original including water pump.

How will the lack of a transmission cooler play into this a few more years down the road? Might be seeing a lot of Tundra transmission problems in the coming years

Thanks but we need separate categories for different engines.

I was considering buy a Tundra, but the MPG is ridiculous bad due to gear ratio.

as the once famous confusion once said
anything man made can last from 1 minute to 300 years
anyone saying otherwise either is not from this galaxy or works for congress

I owned a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 5.9 gasser with 280k miles on original motor and transmission. owned a 2003 F150 with the 5.4 with 180k miles no issues. And I have owned many chevys from a 91 suburban to a 2004 1500 and all had high mileage put on them with no major issues besides a/c systems going out. I currently own a 2021 tundra. IT really all comes down to maintenance! i know some trucks/cars come out as lemons but for the most part you just need to take care of your vehicles and they'll last you a while

Toyota #1, Dodge/FCA/Ram/Al Bundy Last Place... No one is surprised... Even Tim doesn’t hide the obvious lol.

I’m curious how many of the reliability issues were related to mechanical vs. electronic gizmos. It seems that’s where many of the reliability problems reside (GPS, infotainment, cameras, seat warmers, etc).

Dodge Ram 5.7 V8 - how long have they had these same engines and yet every time I hear one it has that same exhaust manifold issue... I can tell it’s a 5.7 with my eyes closed.

Glad to see the Chrysler quality being worked on. My Jeep Rubicon I had was a headache of recall and computer re flash issues. Loved my Jeep but man was I relieved when I sold it before the warranty was up since there was no way I could trust to own it past the warranty. Chrysler makes some really likable vehicles that I just can’t trust on reliability.

Tundra longevity and reliability is all that matters. Doesn't matter what domestic fan boys think. Love my Tundra.

Used to be a GM owner for the longest time but man i had to let go with all the issues i had And the shitty part is when the dealer tells you smiling. Oh it’s a common problem with GM 🙁. I have switched to a Ram 1500 in 2014 and now a 2019 and I love it man that hemi is awesome.

The new tundra is to big for off-roading just like every other 1500 truck these days. I loved my first gen Tundra only owned my 2nd gen 17 TRD off-road Tundra for 9 months because it was too big for its own good.

If I needed a truck in the near future I would grab one of the last Tundra s from this generation. I'm sure the 2022 Tundra will be interesting but would wait until the third model year to get the bugs worked out. Second choice would be a f150 with a 3.5 EB. The second generation of this motor seems solid.
