The main difference between Dimash and Marcelito is that Dimash has been classically trained for years, but Marcelito is self taught and has had no formal training. That makes his ability that much more impressive.

Marcelito is famous for being able to mimic any singer, male or female, in just about any language. He has a fantastic range and an ear for voices.

Marcelito is an inspiring story. His father went to prison when he was very young. His mother abandoned him at the age of 4. He lived in prison with his dad for a while then bounced around a few foster parents before running away from home at 7. He was homeless and living on the streets for over 10 years before he got some help. He taught himself to sing like that. He would sing when he was scared and I imagine that was often. He won Philippines Got Talent in 2011 (I think) and he used being on the show to find his family. He's since gotten married and has a daughter. You'd expect a life like that would leave emotional scars, but he seems to be a happy, funny person who's generous towards others.

He has the widest range I've heard and does it beautifully. He is from the Philippines. So English and Italian are not his mother language. Amazing.

This young man here has done himself proud, from being abandoned on the street by his Mother at age 7, and his Father being in prison, he taught himself how to sing like this. Marcelito is the true definition of perseverance and determination, a true beacon of light to all of us in the world. This man had absolutely nothing but he took what he had and made something of himself, that is success in a nutshell. He is a gift to all of us who can hear him and be mesmerized by his God given talent. He won on Philippines Got Talent, and the first thing he wanted to do was find his Parents. In spite of them NOT being there for him while he was growing up, he wanted to find them which he did and he forgave them for what happened, that is truly a man who has no anger towards another human being in his heart. His wife and child are blessed to have this kind man in their lives, he has stated he is going to be there for his children and is doing just that. he could have been a statistic, but instead he chose the path to success and he has done just that. God Bless this man, his family and all who come in contact with him, we are blessed to have him on this earth and we should appreciate him for what he gives us. Oh and by the way he does this while sitting down, like he is just kicking back at the dinner table with us all.

Great review! Yes, Andrea Bocelli is a male opera singer. The amazing thing about this performance is that Marcelito is not only singing in different octaves, he is switching from head to chest voice, female to male, pop to opera and English to Italian (neither of which is his native tongue). He is switching rapidly, seamlessly and effortlessly and doing it all while seated.

For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear
