Thanks for the chat man! Lots of interesting ideas and also as always really cool to see some bts and the fluidity of your workflow going from our conversation to turning it into a video.
Will definitely be implementing this style into my workflow more!

Such a good chat! This has been my literal existence over the past 3 years - trying to find that balance between creating for me and creating for thee, and everything else that comes with it. Basically this exact conversation but with myself on a regular basis.

Two creators I follow! Damn xD That's a collab I didn't expect
I am a coder myself and I make startups on my channel. I also struggle with those problems - even though I have "only" 300+ subs. I have the same issue with timelines - work on my projects takes a LOT of time having a full-time job, add to this coming up with the story + video + editing - I started to feel bad that I have longer and longer periods between uploads to a point when starting anything made no sense.
I gave up this "one every week" mindset and I am working on my second video RN. At glance, it seems like I am being lazy, but the truth is I am being more productive.
Thanks for the talk Peter, and thank you, Kalle!

Thanks for sharing this, I've been thinking about making an upload schedule for a while, like once a week on a specific day. But I recognise the feeling of time pressure and also that when I finish a video I just want to upload and share it. So I think a set schedule just doesn't suit me either and I just want to have fun making videos.

It’s extremely difficult to make it on YouTube. Hard work, smart work, talent, more hard work, revisions, hard work, a pinch of luck and then je ne sais quoi.
I just haven’t felt like posting and don’t know if it is burn out, disappointment or exhaustion from working all day and not having enough energy to tackle it. Emotionally drained. What you’ve accomplished is nothing short of amazing. You are very talented and your efforts are inspiring.

Love it! Kalle was one of the creators I followed 3 years ago when I started my little journey!

Great and insightful interview.

That x-y graph on editing time vs video quality is so true.

That was very interesting to know about thinking behind a "random schedule". Doesn't seems that this impact your channel growth, but no one knows that for sure.
I feel that weekly upload on specific days is very limiting, because sometimes I have to rush to meet it, and sometimes I have to sit on content.
Can't say I really follow or care about what days channels I follow release videos. As a YT user, I do not care at all. I have notifications enabled for favorites (yours are in the whitelist for sure 😀) and whenever videos are available I'm watching them.
Mixing YT Shorts and live streams on the same channel, specific day for the uploads makes even less sense 🤔

I love this so much, thanks Peter! You’ve slowly become one my favorite YouTubers, very inspiring.

I love your take on posting a video. I'm definitely struggling all around with youtube currently so i've sort of backed off so i can just enjoy it. If it ever turns into something so be it. If it doesn't go anywhere, at least i can have fun doing it.

i can really relate to the topic that after finishing one video there is another to make..that feels very exhausting and there is no joy that i have finished a video, i should be proud that i have finished one, but i am a small channel and just started so i have to stick to it for my own good.

Excellent Vlog, Excellent Information, and Excellent Advice. Thank You Peter.

Been following both from 2018. Gothenburg breeds good creative people, it's probably because of their laid back positive attitude and their more relaxed view on life compared to Stockholm.

How interesting to listen to both of you! Thanks for good thoughts and reflections 👍🤩

As a scientist I’ve found this effect of diminishing results fascinating. The Pareto Principle applies to many things in life (aka the 80/20 rule); 80% of the outcome is the result of the initial 20% of the effort. Thanks for the discussion!

I have to agree with you Peter, it is way better to just do the video and then post it. I did not like sticking to a specific schedule.
