Hey enjoyed your video. I’ve got 20, 000 kms on my Versys. Great all arounder. I’ve done several long trips, several 500 km + days. I’ve thought about upgrading but this bike does everything I need. Even does gravel / fire roads really well. I am running Avon Trailrider tires, transformed the bike, it’s even better lol.

i just bought a new 2018 a month ago. just installed the top box and 12v accessory output. I also added the puig windscreen which for my 6'1" height was needed. wind buffeting at helmet gone

Nice video. I purchased a 2018 LT model this year. Love the bike overall it’s great on country roads. Living in the same area as yourself we travel the same roads. I have a 30 mile freeway commute and yes the bike does get buzzy at about 5000 rpm . I cruise at 70 and by the time I get to work I can’t feel my fingers from the vibrations. Also being 6’1 the foot peg lowering kit was a huge boost to riding comfort for us taller guys. The stock peg location has us taller guys a bit cramped. I suppose I should say the forward slope of the seat does also have you mashing your man jewels into the gas tank. I have watched the videos and considering raising the front of the seat ? I wonder if this will help.

I've watched dozens of videos on the Versys 650 and this is the best example of highway cruising that I've seen! Thank you! This thing hums along no problem around 75-80mph and you look comfortable while doing it. You know what's funny is the guys who are always upgrading to bigger power (like FJ-09) from this bike are always talking about how much better than bike is on the highway. These will be the same guys who don't push either bike anywhere close to the limit of the engine. I will never understand why you'd prefer taking a bike to 20% of its potential rather than a weaker bike to 50% of its potential.

Many owners drop the rear sprocket down a tooth or two and that helps the freeway RPM.

I've done around 400 miles in a day on mine, a 2011, and woke up the next day wanting more.

It's the perfect bike nobody knows about!

6, 000 rpm is pretty high in the rpm range, 80-82 is the speed I like cruising on my Dragster RR...Im wondering if you put a sprocket with 2-3 less teeth to drop the rpm's if it would pull it...
