The Arizona Crater (also known as Barringer Crater) is the largest and best-preserved meteorite crater on Earth, despite being over 50,000 years old. The crater was formed by a nickel-iron meteorite roughly 150 feet wide, which hit the Earth with the force equivalent to 10 megatons of TNT, about 650 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb.
