Lack of improvement can be a frustrating place to be in. But what I've noticed over the past 4 years is that people who are lacking in improvement lack a significant amount of knowledge and philosophical understanding of the sport. When I say "let go!", I don't just mean physically!

Brilliant breakdown! Sometimes amazing players have no idea what they are doing, much less how to break it down.

You also have to know your partner in doubles and pay attention to their return or third shot. If you transition to the line (or you are already at the line) and your partner returns the ball a little too high you need to get back or you're a sitting duck.

Hi, a little confusion here; are you telling me not to lob the ball over and behind my opponent? Is this what you are referring to as pop-up's, and should I avoid the lob over their heads? It seems to be my best shot and the opposing team hates it...help me out with this confusion. I am a relatively new player, and I truly appreciate your help.

I am frustrating that my pickle ball is not improving. It’s even getting a little worse. I’m not good at top spin or backspin I prefer to just hit the ball flat. Is that a bad idea? When I charge the net sometimes players like to try to pop it over my head. Is that sign of a good player? Sometimes on a serve people hit the ball short and it’s hard for me to get it but if I run up the hill at hard and I have to go back. What am I doing wrong? I saw you had a shirt from Plano Texas. Is that where you’re from?

Suggestion....place painters tape on the boundaries of the camera coverage. Stay within the tape to ensure you stay within the frame of the camera. Also pan the camera out so it shows not only the paddle stroke but also where the balls lands

Go Linda. Thank you Barrett. I still have trouble with my pop ups. That’s what gets me beat more than anything. The people I play are way better than me. I don’t know if I will ever be very good with all the pop ups I get. I try resetting things, but I just can’t. Help

Immensely. Your favorite word repeat: When playing beginner plus constant tennis style ground stroke kill kill kill. How to stop them.

He didn’t really show why you pop it up. Maybe he should have shown the shot that makes you pop it up.
