How to replace halogen P21 daytime running lights in VW Passat B7 ?
Here we replace the classic (halogen) bulbs P21W with LEDs from 'Osram SL P21/5W' !
Unfortunately, Osram does not have those compatible with the VW control system therefore they will be reported on the display (canbus error). There is no easy way to remove this error unless you add some resistance to increase the consumption so the control unit will not detect a power outage and see it as an error. If you rae lucky enough you can get some LEDs which are 'canbus error free', I havent found any, at least not good ones. The Chinese products are not an option for me.
But this err will come and go away so if you are not disturbed by it, the car will run perfectly normal.
If you are in Europe the bulbs (pack of 2) is up to 20 Euros.
