Ironically I think the whole Jon ducking controversy is the single best thing they could have done to promote this fight

This has to be the worst ever situation in the division.

How on earth can we not see a face off between The Heavyweight Champion vs The Interim heavyweight Champion.

The UFC have to fix this mess.

Terrible matchmaking. Aspinall should have been in there tonight. Jon is spectacular and Stipe just showed up for a paycheck, not to mention fighting in slow motion...

The fact that this video with Tom is #7 trending on YouTube should tell the UFC brass how badly everyone wants to see this fight. Let’s make it happen!

Stipe did not belong in there tonight, should've retired 4 years ago. Stipe was too slow, no set ups for punches and no kicks at all.

UFC slowly turning into boxing. Dana is showing that once you have enough star power you can decide who you wanna fight and when

The fact that Jones keeps saying he wants “F you money” tells me that he is the one who ducked Francis negotiations not Francis as Dana likes to make it seem.

He is huge. Looks like an NFL defensive end.

What I find hypocritical is when Jones complained that Tom is younger than him (yeah by 6 years). But he has no problem fighting Stipe who is 5 years older (in his 40's). At least both Tom and Jones are in their 30's.

3:06 “the most important thing you need is good eyes”. Well I hear he has a move for that.

He has to fight Aspinall or relinquish the belt.

**Common statements made by Jon fans and simple solutions**
Statement 1: "Jon is much better than Tom."
Solution: Jon should fight Tom to prove it.
Statement 2: "Tom doesn't deserve to fight Jon."
Solution: Incorrect. Tom is the interim champion. Interim champions and official champions must and always have had unification bouts.
Statement 3: "Fighting Tom would contribute nothing to Jon's legacy."
Solution: Incorrect. Beating (or even losing against) a new-generation, lightning-fast, young HW with a 100% finish rate is much more impressive than fighting a 42-year-old whose last fight was a KO loss three years ago.

Edit: Stipe was 42 (not 41) at this point in time.
Edit 2: As one fellow user has mentioned, notice how all the Jon fans haven't said anything good to invalidate the statements here. But it's exactly what I expected.

Jones knows full well there's a statistically relevant chance that Tom catches him early in the first and smokes him. He knows if that happens his legacy is shot to pieces, the exact same threat was present with Ngannou and he spent three years ducking him. This fight will not happen. Lots of people think he lost to Reyes and everything Reyes did well in that fight, Tom has the capability to do even better.

We might actually get GTA 6 before we get Jon vs Tom 😂

Jon doesn’t fight this guy. He’ll retire before he fights this fella. He’ll probably take the fight and then suddenly get injured in training. That’ll be the end of the story.

Chael's take on the Interim title would be correct if it was an unification bout, but here Tom is still the interim champion and the Undisputed heavyweight champion in most of the people's eyes
