I have 120 acres. I have to walk 1.5 miles to get from one end of my land to the other. I recommend people stay with 5 acres or less as its far easier to manage.

This is great! Our new homestead is just 2.5 acres, but I'm amazed at how much space we have, and how much we'll be able to fit on it.

I’m new to Texas (via NYC) and was touring the country in my RV but fell in love with Texas. This is my dream and I thought an acre would not be enough but this is perfect. Thanks so much for the video / education. Much appreciated!

Also check live stock ordinance. A lot of states require a minimum of 5 acres for large animals, like cows and horses.

One of the most important things to buying any piece of land is what germs or such live in the soil. I knew someone that bought land and later found that all their animals would get sick from something in the soil.

I have 600 acres with about 2 very large buffalo herds on it. One herd is always active and running around while the other herd continuously sleeps. I suggest people stay with 120 acres, waaaay less stress.

Hey Becky just wanted to let you know I love your videos! My family owns 25 acres, but most of it is woods and the rest is wide open fields. The fields are on a hill so we can’t really use it and instead just let a farmer rent it to grow food for his livestock.

I have almost an acre of land (0.97 acre). I just bought it a week ago. It's in an agricultural rural area. What should I do next? I just wanna grow crops like vegetables and fruit trees but it's in a desert area in imperial county, California. Can I just grow crops and how I get the water there's an irrigation canal nearby.

Thank you Becky, you're awesome and I enjoy your videos. I checked with the county I live in and I can have a garden (Not to sell) for personal use and some animals but they where not sure as to what ones. I can't wait to get started on excavation on the property, thank you for your inspiration.
