Throckmorton sign is a medical reference. On x-ray or other imaging study if the penis head is aimed at the hip that is in question i.e. I hurt my left hip and the penis head points to the left hip, that is said to be a positive Throckmorton sign. If my penis head points to the left hip but I hurt my right hip and this was evident on X-Ray, it would be called a negative Throckmorton sign. I wish I was making this up but I’m not.
