@mangyshlakdapaul Thanks! I did tin the wires, but forgot to cover that in the video. For those reading, tinning involves heating the tips of the wire and applying a small amount of solder. This keeps the wires from fraying and helps the solder flow more freely when making the connection with the jack.

great video!!! but for better connection it is better to tin the ends of the wires before soldering them to the sockets.

It's a bit confusing when you say twist the white and blue together... you mean twist the 2 white wires together and then twist the 2 blue wires together not twist the white wire and blue wire to each other... correct?

Even though you used "microphone cable" could this XLR cable also be used for running a bass guitar (via DI) to a soundboard?

" a pretty good amount of soldering into it" should, instead, be said as " an accurate concave amount of soldering ", which should correspond to a lightier amount of soldering
