My old boss once said "I would rather you annoy me with questions than with mistakes." Best boss I've ever had, to this day.

When your friend says “don’t make me regret hiring you” it’s not the disappointment that kills you it’s the embarrassment especially since their your friend- imagine getting fired by your friend

Never seen this channel before, but it looks like their upload consistency is on a league of its own. Subbed.

I feel like almost everyone had a fear of failure.

Asking too many questions is better than not asking enough. I've been told "its better to ask stupid questions than making stupid mistakes"

We all look back at some point and say "I really did grew up…" while smiling and realizing you're doing something that for your old self, seems to be impossible. Kudos for making me smile ❤️

I prefer workmates who are patient to teach newbies and newbies who ask questions and does not pretend that they know everything 👌

I was expecting a punchline, but this was just a really wholesome story

You reminded me of my coworker who told all their friends in high school about how exciting their job is at doggy daycare. My boss hired one of their friends and she was arguably one of our worst employees. She got fired quickly and my boss told that coworker that he is never hiring anyone they know again 😂

Had a co-worker, Nick, who was JUST like this. Asked so many questions it would drive the other employees crazy. Except instead of just the first day it was everyday for weeks. Manager always stuck us on the same shift, perhaps because I didn't have a problem with it and probably because I was the only person who actually cared. Other co-workers would make fun of him and belittle him, but by the end of that year nick was by far one of the most valued employees. By asking so many questions he learned his job inside out in a way that went beyond routine and enabled him to handle unexpected events with ease because he truly understood what he was doing. Everyone wanted the guy on their shift by the time I left. That company is long gone now, but I hope he's doing well where ever he is now.

I had a similar experience with my first ever job- not only did I get nervous and ask silly questions too but it was a girly café made up of girls who would bitch about customers who were even the least bit fussy. One can only imagine what they were saying behind my back. They let me go after my trial period ended without warning, having taught me next to nothing about how to make coffees or prepare certain items like they said they would. They didn’t even tell me I was doing a ‘bad job’ even when I’d ask “is this okay?” so I had no idea they weren’t satisfied with me until they let me go. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had made their minds up about me early on.
Now when I train up new people in my current job I make a point to be patient and honest with them and to give them the benefit of the doubt as a new job anywhere can be quite intimidating at first. We’re all capable of being good at our job once taught and applied enough times, and I wish every employer would understand that.

I remember when my first boss said "ask, ask, ASK, piss me off by asking but keep asking me questions if you have ANY doubt, better ask now than clean up a mess later"
