My grandfather had some amazing stories about the war and growing up during the dust bowl as 1 of 9 kids. He was the only boy and worked since he was able to milk the cows. Once a week the family would have a "feast" and share 1 roasted chicken. Between 11 people, he got a wing. He was a quiet, strong man that I wish I could be more like

Lachlan Patterson was born 2 years before I graduated HS. He just said what I've been thinking for a long time. In my lifetime, I have known 6 generations, including my own. I have phenomenal stories & pictures from each generation. I feel sorry for young people, today, who are lucky if they know their grandparents (a lot of whom have already passed away).
