If you're like me and you have 3ds Max or Maya in a later version then 2014 (For example Maya 2016) then you will need to add an extra step. When importing the FBX into UE4 look for the option named "One convex hull per UCX" under the "mesh" section of the import. Turn this OFF (uncheck the box). This should fix your problem. (Of course remember to turn OFF "auto generate collision" as well)

When I import my static meshes to UE4 everything is OK but they can't receive shadows from other actors in the scene... Do you guys can help me on this?

What if I have a mesh with multiple parts, what do I name the collision meshes after, does it matter? Can I just pick one? Or do I need a name, can I just do UCX_1 or UCX_2 like in older versions of unreal?

Can I ask you one question?
Do you know how to set custom collison in actor that only block character mesh and overlap other actor object(eg.projectile).

Thanks, UE Runs Slow In Edit Mode, Adding Collision Would OF Taken A Lot OF Patience And Effort, With This I Can Just Do IT Outside And Add It In Conveniently! Thanks!

does this only work when using primitive shapes as the collision? im importing a terrain asset and ue4 is just drawing a box around my collision mesh and not using the mesh itself. any help appreciated.

I have question :/ Im make a castle style map in 3ds max if im make collison for wall, ground, etc. This way decrease performance ? ( whole map only 3 mesh )
