Testing the brand new firmware update for the Sony Alpha A7siii version 2.0:

For me, slog3 looks the worst, and PP off looks the best.

Slog3 is looking overexposed. They say good to do while shooting but do you want to bring exposure back down in post.

what is the custoom lut that you are using?

from my experience, I get my best looking footage with slog3 + leeming LUT (only LUT i've purchased, but it's worked well for me). I also do a lot of live streaming, and for that, I've made a custom PP with a movie gamma (same as PP off i think) and a s-cinetone color space, with some added saturation. That has been working well for me, but I haven't thoroughly investigated all of my options...

Hey there, thanks for the comlparision. Just a question : i have it, i did the update, and i can be en slog3 gamma and s cinetone color space. Why nobody use it, and do full slog 3 or full s cinetone. I dont get it ?

It would've helped if it was in 4K so we can see if any details are lost in one mode or another. But thanks for sharing!
