Nice video. Thanks for sharing. The Cary amp in triode would sound awesome. 50 watts is probably all you would need.

Great video, beautiful speakers! I'm working on building replicas and I'm trying to figure out the edges of the sides/top/bottom at the front of the speaker. I've looked at a lot of online photos and some give the appearance that the edges extend beyond the front baffle just slightly, maybe 1/16" or less but in other photos, it looks flush with the front baffle. It also appears there is a slight gap between the front baffle board and the edges of the side pieces, also maybe 1/16" or less. From the limited drawings I have and also online photos, it appears these edges extend about 1/4" beyond the back flat surfaces of the cabinet. Any details on this you can provide are appreciated.

I picked up a pair compression drivers and a pair of crossovers in Japan last year but the crossovers have the N1201-8a model number label so I have laser etched replicas of the Model 19 skin with original fonts etc. I will completely rebuild the crossovers with better quality components but probably will not change the design even though with modern crossover design software, improving them should be relatively easy. I'm primarily building these for the nostalgia value so I want to make them as original as possible. So if there is anything you can tell me I should be aware of to get it right, that would be great.

The after market woofer recone kits I found have completely the wrong dust cap but after extensive searching I found a screen mesh that matches the original dust cap vents and made my own. It's going to be a lot of work but I think it will be worth it to own a pair of these fantastic vintage speakers. Thanks!

Very nice! Do you think it helps if these speakers are positioned out into space more?

The gear is awesome, out of question. But the placement of the speakers is imo much more important for the best sound quality experience and the gear comes second. So sad to see that beauties struggled in the corner playing at 20% of their capabilities.

Any audiophile would drool at your setup❗️🎶
what DAC and what source is the music coming from?

now you need to work on proper speaker placement and room treatments.

even with my cheapo speakers I can tell the quality of what you have. If I can be presumptuous and ask if you could play Govi's Andalusian Nights? Its Flamenco guitar.

Para que pones los controles de tono al medio??? Le faltan agudos y graves, se escucha apagado y sin brillo y la profundidad de los bajos. Malo tienes dos hermosos twiters y no los usas.

Oh, I had a pair of those with the bose 901's in the rear. 50 years ago. I would use a DC PS with a 4 ch car amp. Ditched the McIntosh. Over rated amp

Don’t use that cheap recorded Vietnamese cd. You will not have good sound from your system. I’m also Vietnamese

Какой же уродливый у них дизайн.. бабушкин шкаф..😅 Высоких тонких частот почти нет, грубый верхний диапазон, как будто рупор Сч одни воспроизводят. 😮

You could of picked something other to play. That song was really boring. I would have liked something with vocals.
