LYRICS
And it goes three, two, done
We always knew that you were the wild one
Uh oh
But you flew too close to a burning sun
At least we got it in when we were young, I know

It still feels like yesterday
And I’ll love you always

Do you remember back in the day
That party at Dave’s, you said that you had nothing to lose
Oh no
Man I shoulda listened up , but I fucked up
Laughed it off and told you you had nothing to prove
(got nothin to prove)
Uh oh
It still feels like yesterday
And I’ll love you always
And I promise I’ll see you on the other side
Well get high and go out for another ride
I promise I’ll see you on the other side

It still feels like yesterday
And I’ll love you always

And when my time’s up, I’ll come over, say whats up? punch your shoulder
Cause I’ll love you always

I promise, I’ll see you on the other side
We’ll get high and go out for another ride
I promise, I’ll see you on the other side
We’ll get stoned, we’ll get drunk, we’ll get by

My best friend passed away yesterday. His name was Billy. He partied at Dave's house. (Im dave.) Before he passed we both loved this song and band. I listened to it just now and broke down crying for about 20 minutes. Its the perfect song for his passing in basically every lyric. It helped me process this loss a little bit. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of growing up on the Cape and going to school with these guys. Their success is the result of pure talent, loads of hard work, and unrelenting dedication. Wishing them all the best!

I know everyone has some emotional story about billy being one of their friends that committed suicide. For me “billy” refers to myself going through depression, having suicidal thoughts/ actions and keeping everything to myself. This song helped me through some of the worse times of my life, I’m glad to be here, thank you Highly Suspect

I'm 54 years old and been listening and playing music my whole life. It gets harder and harder to keep up on newer stuff. Once in a while I'll find a band that catches my ear. These guys are the latest to do that and I've been listening to them everyday now for weeks. Great stuff!!

My good friend Billie died on the 5th. She showed me highly suspect she was a very special person and will always have a part of my heart with her. I miss her so much. Thank for for such great music..

God... this band truly amazes me. Bath salts and Lydia are still my favorite, but Christ this entire album.... I just love it. I wanna go on tour with them.

Sad songs that are upbeat are always the catchiest.

From the first time I ever heard this song it always made me think of my brother even before he passed. When he did pass away almost a year ago I spent most of the night listening to this song on repeat while driving to the funeral. This is one of the few songs that reminds me of him and makes me smile. Thanks

Nearly 9 years since I lost someone. This song.... I just finally got it, this time. I've played this song a thousand times, ever since then, and it kept making me cry. I couldn't understand exactly why.
Here's what I finally think this song is saying: "It's okay to hurt forever. We'll always miss each other, but you and I can suffer through, and remember fondly the moments we shared, and in the very end, it'll be a bittersweet story told between us. Until then, I love you."
I don't know how you wrote this so soon, but I'm grateful that you did. Grief is a never-ending process, but I think this might have, finally, brought me a bit of closure. Thank you, Johnny.
"I'll love you..

I'm listening these guys from a week. I found them with "My name is human", and from that moment I can't listen to anything else. I didn't feel so in love with a band from very long time, probably the last time it happend was when, a lot of years ago, I listened for the first time "Smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana. Thank for your great rock music my friends, I love you.
