Thanks, this review pushed me over the line and I bought one for camping trips. IMHO the 'plus' is pretty much essential and should really come as standard. I would also like to see a cheaper version with no water heating for those of us who drink milk coffees (in which case you're going to need a small stove/pan anyway). But the bottom line is it makes bloody good coffee almost anywhere, and that's pretty special.

I believe you are supposed to tamp it down with the funnel collar still in place. That might make it easier to use.

Is th output still hot ? I always find my coffee too cold...

I have this. But to be honest, it's not as good as expected. You have to take all your ground coffee with you and probably water, and then the coffee all gets stuck in the basket . It's a bit of a mess. I had issues with the magnets on my dossing funnel as they fell out. On paper, it looks ok, but in reality, it's a bit of a novelty that I have only used twice in 4 months.
