Half the therapists I have known are crazy and can’t even manage their feelings or lives in a way that I admire. So I get it. I think saying “social worker, helping people” isn’t really a lie. It’s just a little vague. And to be honest, us men don’t really care what you do for a living beyond that.

My wife Penny and I were Paramedic partners working on the ambulance for years together. If fact the majority of our careers. We were a great team on and off duty. We built a life together based on truth, not lies. It was a lot of work but we succeeded.
I knew Penny for 43 wonderful years. We lived together for 30 years, married 15 of them. Unfortunately she passed away May 2020.
I love and miss you my wonderful wife. And that is the truth.

I understand that if someone says they are a Therapist, people either want to get "free advice/counseling" from you, or they think you are psychoanalyzing everything you say or do. But, don't lie if you want a relationship with a solid foundation, built on TRUTH.

Although I believe there’s more to the story than her stating her profession. I think she should deal with men in truth and find one that will accept that.
