Explosion, Fire, No Electricity, No Fridge...but Christmas!

It was chaos! A transformer exploded across the street and caught fire in someone's yard. Thankfully nobody was hurt. We were without power all day but we got it back just in time to make a late dinner. It would have been a lot better if the family could be there anyway but some of the family was sick so it was a chilly and dimly lit Christmas.

Thank you for being gracious about the workers wanting to spend time with their families and I loved that Prescilla wanted to do something for the workers. As a person that has had to work many holidays and now a spouse of someone that works holidays this shows people appreciate what others do.

I’d love to know how much you all like that ice maker, I think all ice makers should be nugget makers! I’m obsessed with ice in general, but especially nugget ice. We had power issues in Lakeland on Christmas Eve, several blocks were out in our area. It was cold!
I’m with you on the coffee issue, I’ve learned to love instant coffee over time, and I make it in our fire pit if needs must!
