Your iPad has a built in scanning app. It’s called “Files”. Open it and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner. One of the options you’ll see is “scan documents”. Basically, the iPad’s camera will scan the document and save it as a pdf file.

Thank you so much. You are changing my view of iPad. A dedicated Microsoft man for 40 years where things like file organisation are so easy I have been very frustrated with Apple.

Hi Elizabeth. I’ve just treated myself to the forScore app last night, and now I understand why most musicians/ learners like it. It’s because it’s so easy to use. I stumbled across another trick last night with this app, and that is a feature in the ‘Scan’ area. If you have any sheet music saved into your photos you can add that sheet music using the scan feature, as there’s a little photo tab at the top of the page. Click the photo tab, scroll through until the piece that your looking for. Select the images that you are looking for by selecting the title page first and then work backwards, click done and it should all appear in the correct order, click done again and it will consolidate the piece as a whole document xx

Elizabeth! Thanks for the video. How does one import multiple pdfs into Forscore simultaneously from another app? Must I use Dropbox or something?

Hello, I'm a windows person, like Harry . Is foreshore available for windows too? I thought that Harry talked about different software. What is good software to have for musicians?

I really like your tech for musicians. I have so many questions. You sparked an idea that an app will be very helpful cataloging my music and creating set lists. Thank you.

You make is look so easy. I had to call Apple Tech Support for help changing photos taken by the IPad into pdfs. Now I’m trying to annotate fingering for piano. Two problems recur:
1. ForScore interprets my 5 as the letter S. Worse yet: the eraser can’t erase it. My workaround is tedious: close without saving, then reopen and redo.
2. When I use Apple Pencil to note fingering on consecutive notes, ForScore moves the numbers to the left evidently treating them as if letters in a word instead of keeping each number over the correct note. Has this happened to you? Any suggestions?

This presentation answered most of my questions except for one: when I snap photos of sheet music, they get saved as img files. How can I change them to pdf’s so that ForScore can accept them for editing?
