The Volkswagen golf has to be one of, if not these most desirable hatchback cars. From practicality, space to engine options, it's a great option for nearly anyone of the market.

We had the GTD for test which is 2.0 TDI (Diesel) version which has a lot of power and is great to drive. However if that doesn't tickle your fancy then VW offer multiple other good options including small petrol and diesel engines, a GTE, a fully electric EGolf as well as the infamous GTI.

In this review we compare the way the GTD drives versus the GTI as well as checking out all the usual features like boot space, infotainment systems and prices.

Mk7 GTI’s are actually pretty easy to insure as a young driver, my insurance went down a few hundred when I changed to my GTI. My previous was a 12 Focus tdci, before that was an 11 Focus. Cheapest has been my GTI 😂 looked in to it and apparently it’s because of the automatic accident prevention system, or to put it simply it jamms on the brakes when it detects something in front of you ie a driver that has jumped on the brakes

I like the covers it has for the cup holders, also the idea of the back cup holders, covers for phone charging, place to put your glasses .
I thought the Audi A1 is a rival to this no ? That’s the 2 cars I’m considering getting .
