VWs sell well in the snow belt in the US. My sister has a base model and loves it. I was impressed with how peppy, quiet, roomy and comfortable it was. Nice interior.

The reviews will be better off without the music in the back. It is too loud and distracting. Car looks great and review is amazing.

The arm rest should pull forward to make it useable. Does so in my Mk 7.5 R.

It does not cost the same as Astra or focus after discounts which you know but don’t state, if room in the back is a priority you say, get an Octavia!!! Yet another Vw product. Now I drive a seat which is Vw but even I see the beast towards Vw.

Hitting the right buttons on the touchscreen was much easier with the pre-facelift touchscreens. There you had physical buttons, which you can feel, and which you could search for with your fingers before pushing them down (instead of looking at the screen, then hovering over them, and then hoping there'd be no bump in the road before trying to touch the button). Also there was a lip around the screen, especially on the bottom of it, that you could use to orient yourself and to stabilize your fingers. Also, the old system didn't have a mirror finish on the screen, making it easier to read most of the time. It was a vastly superior system... but I guess it doesn't look as cool as a touch buttons etc.

No need to upgrade to Sat Nav if you buy the SE, mirror link option mirrors the sat nav from your phone and it works perfectly.

2:24 the armrest will slide forwards (in most models).

Never seen a negative review from this channel. That makes me a bit skeptic. Many car review channels seem a bit owned honestly, that becomes even more apparent when they have teamed up with the manufacturer in saving offers. They are practically selling the car!
