anyone else having trouble getting the guns to upgrade from destroyed to disabled for taking them back into raid? they just stay destroyed no matter how many raids i go in and out with them

Bravo, excellent guide! One tip I can offer lies outside the game itself: the wiki is very useful, especially if you want to see what level of experience you need with a weapon to unlock new parts for it. Another good general tip is to avoid any terrain in the game that doesn't look safe, especially around the edges of maps. You can get stuck or even fall through the map in one or two spots. Lastly, as of now there are still places in some maps where enemies tend to spawn right on your head and you want to learn them and avoid them. Have fun!

Using the mark target key (Z by default) on an enemy will allow you to identify them more easily at distance. You may want to remap this key to an extra mouse button for convenience.

Also, it is not mentioned in the UI, but once a container is open you can hit (Tab then Space) to 'loot all' without having to use the mouse. Keep in mind though that after a recent patch, you can no longer drop unidentified items from your rig, so they will remain unusable and continue to take up space until you extract.

Glad the demo is finally out. Hopefully more of those who are hesitant to jump in on this game will finally give it a shot.

Avoid bugged/broken missions. Like Payback, Water Map 1, and Red Baron's Banner.

After unlocking Bundleton, *buy rig container upgrades ASAP!* They make your base rig and game progress soo much better! Not only do they double your weight and volume rating, but they also increase your rigs chance to deflect bullets fired at you. More carrying capacity means more _ammo, meds, and most importantly LOOT_ that you can get back. Also containers are a hell of a lot cheaper than rigs and each upgrade lets you carry as much and sometimes more than the base rigs.

There's two things that the character exp reward seems to be based off of, this is assuming you successfully extract (don't die), kills, and loot gained! Upgrading containers alone greatly accelerate exp gain rate! I feel that not enough emphasis is placed on upgrading containers as opposed to rigs.

Don't worry about losing gear/ Stop using the default weapons! Seriously, playing like a cockroach, that is, with no meds, no ammo, no real weapons or rig upgrades. . .crouch walking halfway across the battlefield will leave you forever stunted. Farming credits is easy, you can just replace most items without much effort.*

Learn to use pistols. They let you run faster. They lower your threat rating to the lowest. I hope they make all pistol ammo 0.01 KG / 0.05 CU someday, they really should, but for now only 9x19 is that space/wight efficient.

Case/slot capacity ratings are deceptive. Just because one ammo by default is packed in cases of 20 in your rig, and another is 30, the case size doesn't matter. If they both are the same vol/weight at the base unit, they'll still be the same. As in, if you pack 50 rounds of 556, and 50 rounds of 54R, because they're both 0.01 KG / 1 CU, even though it may look like one may take up more space than the other, they aren't, the icons are deceiving. Hope that was understandable, it's easier to explain with visually. This one isn't such a big tip, but some players might be mildly OCD like that.

*Quest specific items should be handled with care, you can get them back. Some items like magazines, the game doesn't seem to take away if you lose the weapon, but I still need to look into this.

So having play the demo and having some general knowledge, I will want to add in this:
-Demo players seem to gain access to the vendors much more easily (our water caps out at 3 plus change)
-Hunter Killers do not seem to be in the demo, or at least in my roughly 8 hours of gameplay I have not triggered them from rapid looting
-You can make attachment presets (max of 2 in demo) per gun. You can also seem to stock pile parts and attachments (good for when you die and need to get a replacement about)

"Thief in the Night" quest in mech trenches (elevator start) is by far the easiest way to accumulate money and xp in the beginning. If you have space you take "Risky Cargo" and grab explosives from armory for a round 100k run.

I leveled alot in Scrapyard Nexus at the beginning. Just start the elevator fight the waves, loot and leave. Get left ladder up then down for Explosives/Water sometimes there are no enemies on that path =)

About movement speed, a lot of people seem to get this wrong in videos and on reddit.
Scav girl isn't the "fastest" and bag man isn't the "slowest". All characters have different walking and running speeds.
Scav girl is actually the slowest walker but she gets insanely fast when running. Bag man is the opposite. He's the fastest walker but the slowest runner.
The speed bonus from higher prestige levels only applies to walking speed. At prestige 25, Bag man's running speed is barely faster than his upgraded walking speed.
Shaman seems to be the best allrounder for movement, having both the second fastest walking speed and second fastest running speed.
There's some good tables on the "characters" wiki page.
Then there's stealth. When I play Shaman, I feel like I can get much closer to enemies than with Bag man before being spotted. Not sure but I believe it might be tied to walking speed. Slower walker = more stealthy perhaps.

So far I have had a great time, after I got the Old Man to max prestige I’ve been waiting for new content. There is a lot of potential for sure!

Note:
50cal. is currently about the same dmg than 45acp while taking up much more space and weight.

its currently a bad tradeoff to use 50cal till it gets a big buff to damage

How do I pick up enemy weapons? I tried to swap weapons from fallen enemies but wasn't allowed

Man I wish the muzzle flash wouldn't be such a flamethrower... You start firing and the flame will block you entire screen...

Scav Girl - outside of RP / "i just like to play that char" context - is really, really bad in purely functional context - worst rig selection, *slowest* walk, poor weapon selection, worst hp, all that for just one perk - "fastest" run, but that fastest run is marginally faster than e.g. shaman's.
