I love this camera. Had it a month. Created a cheat to resolve its biggest issue: not all the features within the camera hub (gesture recognition etc) are exposed to HomeKit and are stuck inside the Aqara ecosystem eg. I can’t use my face to trigger non aqara

I’ve got an aqara bulb which I’m using as a workaround. Gesture/face/whatever as trigger… sets bulb to X brightness. HomeKit then sees bulb at X brightness, that then triggers non aqara stuff in HomeKit. So an automation within Aqara app then acts as a trigger for an automation inside HomeKit. I suspect this would work for home assistant too?

It only works one way though, as aqara can only use the bulb being on/off as trigger which is very annoying - maybe @paulhibbert could ask aqara to update the automations to include more trigger states of its products.

I do like the Aqara products, great features, great battery life. I do find it bizarre that you can't actually connect a smart bulb directly to the Eco System and that you have to do it through HA or Alexa.
