I actually sewed the Galaxy Smarttag+ the (Diamond version) in my tech backpack which was stolen at a park in a matter of seconds, good thing my bag also had locks, anyway, I found the theif using the tracker traced back to his home a few miles away and called the cops. 🙂‍↕️✌️

I was running the Smart Tag 2 alongside my older Smart Tag+ and noticed immediately that it is lacking accurate and frequent offline updates. Note that the tag is NOT! in power saving mode. Now I understand the long battery life which is simply achieved by the infrequent updates and long time gaps between them. I regret having bought the Tag 2 and cannot recommend it. I managed to buy another Smart Tag+ but they are hard to find and cost now almost double.

It doesn’t track real time but it does ping where your valuables are at or in what direction it has been moved to, I have one on my bike and it tells me exactly where it’s at, you can most definitely use it for stolen items

How do you set it up to ring your phone when you press the tag? Double pressing only causes the tag to beep not the phone.
what is the name of the other app you need. it only flashed it once when I tried to enable " find my phone".
It's unbelievable how hard it is to find locations in settings, but still doesn't work.

Excellent video but at 5:00, is the "Left Behind" feature the same as "Smart Notifications" on Tile/Cube Tracker ? I mean, does it just send a notification when the cube is left behind or do the Phone and Tag ring loudly ?

Hi, excellent video, would having a phone with ultra wide banding be of benefit of pin pointing your car if it got stolen and the smarttag2 was hidden inside? Providing there are other Samsung phones to ping off. My phone is the Samsung s20 + which does not have UWB. Im trying to work out if it would be of more benefit to have a phone with UWB for a more precise location if car was stolen. Thankyou :)

I have this and my Bluetooth was on and kept connecting to my husband's airpods so my question is do i have to keep my Bluetooth on consistently in order for the smartag to work or can i turn off blue tooth and still work?

I was looking at getting one of these for my bike and to slip inside my bike helmet; purely for the find feature incase someone steals it. So from what I understand Power Saving mode will still keep the location enabled to be able to find it (assuming ofc it can ping off other Galaxy phones) ?

you mentioned this will only wotk with UWB, correct? i in California and have the S24U and it shows 5GUC on it. so i assume it works anywhere in the US. however, here is my question, if i place the smartag2 in my luggage and i am in Thailand airport and i do not have the UWB signal on my phone, will i still be able to track my luggage??

Why ny app doesnt have the AR? I am looking for a lost tag, but my app doesn't show distance or direction, nor is there a camera icon. I have S23 Ultra and TAG2. What do I have to do?
