I like to imagine this guy is the messiah of the Followers of the Apocalypse. Every time any other group, anywhere across America makes an inside reference to literature he descends down from a ray of light, enveloped in the unfathomable swag and lab coats that all studious philanthropists strive to wield, and says "yes I got that reference." Everyone collectively stops what they are doing, stricken by awe at the insurmountable knowledge of all human culture on display, then he tilts his glasses up to the sun and vanishes just as quickly as he came.

The Outcasts are so arrogant, and yet, so useful. I use their base from the Anchorage DLC as a repair station, and I use their main HQ as a dump-off for stuff that I don't need, in exchange for medicine. I always had enough meds to make it through the campaign, and they got whole suits of Enclave armor. It was a beneficial relationship. Plus, their black and red armors look so much better than the standard dull grey armor the Lyons' Brotherhood were stuck with.

Honestly I like the Outcasts. They're a bunch of power armored jerks and it's really fun. When you first meet Morgan you can basically exchange shittalk with her, it's one of my favorite interactions in the game.

I like this a lot. It shows how egotistical the Brotherhood/ Outcasts are because they say shit that they *expect* other people not to understand. Why reference a book you think the other person hasn't read other than to feel superior?

It's strange to me that the outcasts left because elder Lyons wanted to fight supermutants, but then the outcasts rejoined when Maxon took over, and in Fallout 4 the brotherhood is all about eradicating any kind of mutant, and every brotherhood soldier you meet talks about Maxon like he's Jesus
