Hey ms havrot I was wondering, when finding the k value, when would we directly use period and when would we use 360/period? Somtimes different questions reuqire different things

Hello Ms. Harvort. I need help graphing a transformed function, g(x) = 2 cos (2(x+30°)) + 7 which domain is -180° ≤ x ≤ 180°. Would each of the four points will have an increment of 45deg? Period is 360/k = 180, therfore 180/4 is 45. I start my A -30° then B 15°, C 60°, D 105° E 150° ??? Please help thanks 🥲
