Awesome. As I finish each chapter, I look at each one of these videos and helps me understand details I didn't quite catch. It was hard for me to understand at first that James Gatz was his real name, but something funny happened to me: I said Huh.. awful similar name to Jay Gatsby. weird coincidence. Now I got it hahaha.

I always feel like online notes always overemphasized the idea that Daisy married Tom "for the money." Sure, it does help secure herself further financially, but she was far from poor. In fact, it seems pretty implied she was richer than Nick's family, so it's not like she really needed Tom's wealth, which I think is part of the reason why she was so easily able to throw that necklace away while drunk.

I love this book so much, but there's so much flowery language it's so hard to understand what's being said (it doesn't help that my autism prevents me from comprehending the complex emotions of this story, even if i can tell they're there) so this series has helped me so much with summarizing and comprehending each chapter
