Watching as UK music fan I’m always surprised that bands like Travis and Franz Ferdinand are considered one hit wonders in the US as they’re really successful and well respected still to this day in the UK with good albums and big crowds

The singer from Nine Days (story of a girl) is an english teacher now who performs this song on the last day of school each year

Travis had a song they released called "Why does it always rain on me" that was just splendid!!

Bowling For Soup was nominated for a Grammy for their song “Girl all the Bad Guys Want.” Their track “Almost” also got quite a lot of radio play. They also did the theme song for HUGE cartoon Phineas and Ferb. I wouldn’t really call them a one hit wonder.

Franz Ferdinand's whole first album is killer.

Franz Ferdinand is my one objection here: that whole album is great and they had tons of singles.

Franz Ferdinand is huge over seas. I’m in the states and they came here once and it was one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen.
They’ve even collaborated with Sparks!
I’ve listened to them ever since Take Me Out was released here.
