Guess everybody thought it was gonna be a Nickleback song, I'm just glad I'm not the only one haha

This should be a series. Highlight great songs by artists that are hated and under appreciated. This could provide an opportunity to highlight great songs that are great but people overlook because of the hate.

I have to admit, I’m not a musician, and most of the time have no idea what he’s talking about, but his appreciation for music is so infectious, that each time I feel like I’ve learned something.

it's absolutely mesmerising to watch a musician in his realm, navigating through a melody so intimately. beautiful to watch

There's something so cool about a ridiculously technically proficient guy who, at the same time, is so uncompromisingly and spontaneously amazed by the beauty of music...You rock, Rick!

"Rush of Blood" was the only CD in my car for the 24 months after my husband died. I listened every day to and from work. Every nerve of every sensory organ in my body every cell in my brain got imbedded in with those songs -- every chord, every melody, every riff, every beat. Especially this beautiful, beautiful, beautiful song. If I hear any song from Rush of Blood "out in the world" somewhere, it's like I step into a time machine. Music is so fucking powerful.

I think Rick knows about every trick in the book, yet he still gets sooo enthusiastic about certain chords changes, even after hearing a song for so many times! I love that!

The organ on Coldplay's Amsterdam followed by that crescendo of cymbals and guitars gets me every time!
Rick, I love watching you get so excited about these tracks. It's infectious!

Honestly just the pure joy you radiate when talking about this song or music in general lifts me up so much. I love how open minded you are to all kinds of genres and you really broaden my taste. Keep it up, you're amazing.

Rick can analyze songs like a mathematician but can’t figure out how to work a spray bottle. Only makes us appreciate him more.

I saw Coldplay during that tour, and Chris Martin at the end of the concert used to say "the concert is over, if you wish to leave you may do so" they turned the lights on and they started playing Amsterdam. It was so calming, I really liked that

I can't hate Chris Martin. The poor guy was married to Gwyneth Paltrow. He's suffered enough.

Rick tricked us into listening to "What Makes This Song Great by Coldplay"

Man, Beato’s passion is so contagious. It’s refreshing to see.

It’s hard to put into words how great it is to see someone enjoying a song as much as Rick is in this video.

When I get knocked down by the monotony of my 9-5 job, I know I can always come here and get excited about my passion - music. Thank you Rick.

When I first listened to this song, I was at the end of my rope.

At 19, I left an abusive home, broke, still in school, and would spend most of my days alone in a crappy apartment.

"If I'd only waited, I'd not be stuck here in this hole." This was always funny to me. If only I'd braved through the dysfunctional situation, I wouldn't have suffered too much alone. But I couldn't take it, so I left.

Whenever holidays came in, my university friends would go back to their homes outside of town and because I didn't have a home to go back to, I would feel even more isolated. I'd wander around the sleepy town on my own while listening to this song. It's an absolute gem.

Thank you Rick Beato for giving this song the credit it deserves.

The absolute coolest thing about this channel is the level of passion that Rick brings to these informative videos. His knowledge is second to none - but watching him get genuinely excited about a chord change is the icing on the cake of this outstanding channel. Thank you, Rick. I love that you love what you do. Keep up the great work!

Rick's enthusiasm is contagious. It's how good teachers teach.

Hell yeah. I came here after looking up Amsterdam to listen to for the 50, 000th time and so many comments mentored "Rick Beato" so I had to see who this guy is. I love that you gave this song recognition. I can't even guess how many times I've listened to this song, but I have never gone a year without listening to it. I love how you really feel every single not and sound in the song. You made it breathe.
