I think Nintendo will call it Switch 2 but that the 2 means more than just an iteration - it means it can generate 2 unique displays, one of them cast to another compatible device, either another Switch 2, Switch, or a dock.

This opens up more extensive multiplayer options across two screens (the rumoured 8-player split-screen Mario Kart), allows for a modern equivalent of Download Play, and of course facilitates any/all dual screen games.

It also explains the dock revealing a lot of the screen, it's one method of dual screen setup.

C button means Couple/Connect, I'm convinced of it.
