Those two lines put this song in such a different light.

This song was written to make history, so it told a tale that would make history. It's a tale that would make people respect Geralt more. It's the tale of a hero.

And it's a lie.

Because while the truth is a better story, and Geralt is by all accounts worthy of being considered a hero, the truth would never be accepted.

haha its actually awesome to listen to Jaskiers story that you actually saw in an episode. Funny how he represents it and how it rly happened. Thats actually what real bard songs were all about. Beautiful story, the fairy tail like and epicness but we all know how it rly was :P Its great to have character like Jaskier and know that he will propably make even more bardly songs in future. Its a fantasy that we needed. And hell, its also catchy. Toss a coin to yoru witcher ~~

I love it. Fits the series, fits what I imagined about Jaskier, even the voice is great in my opinion. Song portraits events from "The edge of the world" story so I bet it will be played at the end of said episode. Or at the beginning of next one for some free ale for Geralt and his trusty companion ;)
