Imagine sitting in the car with an oversized top on. Realizing you have bled through your pants onto your shirt, you stand up quickly to see if any got on the carseat. Unfortunately, your pad/tampon liner cannot compensate for the overflow (the blood sitting on top of the pad unable to soak in with the pad already being full), so quickly standing up makes the blood run all the way down your leg to your socks. Tragic, but realistic for someone dealing with heavy flow periods. If this sort of thing happens on the regular or you have blood clots bigger than the size of a quarter, please be safe and get checked out. Extreme cramping or sudden changes to the heaviness of your period can be a sign that something else is going on. ❤
