I have no idea how in the early 1950's Hollywood did something amazing as this since back then everything to be shown on screen was pretty much what existed in front of the camera. I guess I will give my hats to these filmmakers.

The only inaccuracy is the large colloseum in Rome was not completed until 20 years after Nero's death so the executions probably took place in smaller amphitheatres, Tacitus doesn't go into exact detail.
Also women were only allowed to sit at the top.

Henryk Sienkiewicz won the Nobel Prize in 1905 for this book.
Very well researched about the great fire in Rome 64 AD and the persecution of Christians by Nero.
