LEARN MY WORKFLOW FOR EDITING VOICE AND AUDIO IN ADOBE AUDITION! | In this Adobe Audition tutorial, we’ll take a look at creating a preset that will take your audio, strip out background noise, and compress and normalize your audio levels to a great volume level for use online for any audio, film, or video project.

In this Adobe Audition tutorial, I’ll go over my basic audio process using Adobe Audition to reduce background noise, normalize the levels to boost up the audio level, compress the peaks to help even things out, tweak and reduce background noise a little more, use the equalizer to give the audio some spice, boost the audio level again by normalizing, and then a series of things to limit the audio and compress peaks to get everything where we want it to be and make sure we’re not blowing out the speakers of the people listening to our audio. I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

Nice tutorial! My favorite part was the quote you chose to repeat: "The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried." It makes learning Audition a bit more encouraging!

your live talk is much much better, much more natural then what you present us after all your editing operations!

This has blown my mind! Thank you! I've attempted on many occasions to make my audio sound like butter in Audition from following YT tutorials, this is hands down the best one I've seen, awesome results. Thank you!

This video by itself propelled me into being able to use Audition really, really effectively. After watching I spent hours with various samples (Using this as a baseline) while experimenting with different settings and effects. The ones I couldn't figure out, or didn't understand their purpose, I researched. Getting started in the audio space can be incredibly daunting, I had watched other videos and attempted to do the research on my own but there were a lot of cases where people simple started by more or less jumping into the deep end and using terminology that people new to it, simply don't understand. Can't thank you enough for putting this together with that in mind - I can effectively tune my audio to produce the exact results I want, remove sounds I don't want, clean it up, EQ it effectively ( Whether that's simply adding Roll-off's or Passes or adding punch into the low-end of a voice, etc.) and more or less do whatever I see fit with any audio file I'm given/record.

Just wanted to say I appreciate it. Thank you.

Thanks. Maybe I'm going crazy, but it almost sounds like this is meant to make your voice sound deeper, crisper and while I appreciate that it may make my voice have some depth, I don't speak that deeply. lol It makes male voices sound more intense and I think it kind of makes mine not sound like me. Playing with the EQ part really helped though.

Thank You, can you please make a video on how to apply the same effects (noise removal, normalizing, eq....) in the Final Cut Pro

Your narration skills are great, but I really question your EQ settings. I think your After is not really better than the before. I'd cut some of that low end and instead of a mid dip I'd play with a slight BOOST somewhere between 1K and 2K depending on your voice, for you probably down closer to 1K.

How is the after worse than the before???

Wow, this was EXACTLY what I needed for my new Podcast. I'm new to Adobe Audition and this was fantastic. Thank you so much for taking the time to record such an excellent tutorial and uploading this.

Great tutorial man! Thanks. I really wanted that overcompressed 80's CD loudness wars sound and I think I found it. I ended up with this favorite for my voiceovers:
Amplitude and Compression->Single-band Compressor (-12dB?, 16x, 5ms, 50ms, 0dB)

Amplitude and Compression->Hard Limiter->Limit to -3dB
Reverb->Reverb (700, 10, 1812, 50) 95/5 dry/wet
Amplitude and Compression->Normalize (-3dB)

This was extremely valuable. So often these YouTube tutorials are loaded with jargon, and executed far too fast to be of any use at all. Thank you for making a powerful unwieldy program somewhat tamer and user friendly.

Great tutorial! However, once I'm finished and have hotkey'd the Favorite, I try it on a new audio recording, but the favorite only processes the first 9 seconds and not the entire recording. Is there a way to fix this? I figured the favorite would apply to the entire clip and not just a small segment of it.

Can this same process also be applied to music? Like piano? If not, can you suggest and help this brother out? I'm a little frustrated not being able to figure out out😫. Mahalo much in advance!
