The program was very simple. It’s a whip loop. With macro print string “hello world”.it works perfectly on Flowcode but not proteus. As I said previously all the blinking port are there but nothing on display. I am using Flowcode v5 and proteus v8.5. I did run other programs without LCD though, using proteus hex files generated from Flowcode, they work absolutely fine

Cheats on voltage shifter is 4 diodes, 2 in series and 2 reversed in series, or you could use a 220R resistor. Crude, but both work.

I will do. However I did try it with 16f877a with exact layout. It did exactly the same thing.

This is great. I have been looking into getting a GUI from a PC to control a microcontroller. Specifically, I have been trying to log data from MCU and send data to MCU. It seems that RS 232 communication is much simpler than serial. What do you think? Do you think this method would be easy to implement on another MCU?

Thx for your quick reply. On Fliwcode I have ATMEGA328P. Connection as follows. D1 of LCD toPB0 of ATMEGA328P . D2toPB1. D3toPB2. D3toPB2. D4toPB3. RS to PB4 and lastly E(Enable) toPB5. VDD to positive. VSS VEE and RE TO GROUND. I can see all the light flickering in those ports I mentioned however the lcd remains blank only with the back light.

Hi there. I would like to ask you about the Fliwcode. I know you have used it before and you are good at it. I made a very simple program with lcd display in flow code. I created a hex file so I can simulate it in proteus8. Everything seems fine except the love isn’t displaying anything at all. The back light is on. Any ideas why is that.

Dear sir, rj45 has 8 wire and enc chip has 4wire, like tp+in, tp- in, tp+out and tp-out.so please tell me how i connect enc 4wire with rj45 8wire.
