Hands down my favourite guitarist for the last 30 years....I am still left speechless every now and then with some of his note choices...Sometimes it's like: "How the fuck did he find THAT note, right THERE???"

.. That LUCKY kid (from among the room full of other guitarists) who got to play Marty's guitar 🎸& that too right in front of Marty himself would surely cherish that moment all thru his life.... memories that would last till his last breath. Huh!!

And i like the way the kid looked up at Marty, maybe for his approvals/reactions😅😂...

It is refreshing and encouraging to hear one of the guitar gods talk about melody and songs instead of how to shred in another mode l👍🤣

Everyone talks about Marty's speed or his awesome vibrato but what he does best is melody, he is first and foremost a melody writer all of his passages could be a great melody to carry one whole song but he will pick say 5 and add that " Marty sound " to work around and enhance said melody
He is really one of the best at that, forget the " shred " concentrate on making singable melody lines.

It's funny because the Tornado of Soul's solo is embedded in Marty Friedman's soul so much that it is almost silly to even talk about. That's why he goes out of his way to be extra humble about it. It goes without saying.

Such a humble teacher. If Shawn lane and George Harrison explores India to find their inner music/self. Marty goes to Tokyo. Btw, what can shampoo 30 years? Lol

this man should be selling out big stadiums and these so-called "mumble rappers" should be the ones relegated to small audiences.

Learning to bend without the help of a wammy bar since he was 2 and a half years old, Marty often went for his daddy's Les Paul plugged into a wah instead of crying. He would hit the wrong note, but it was just too cute, so his parents encouraged him to get a floyd rose guitar, but he insisted No, I can just bend like this, mom. At three, his hair was so long, they gave him stilts and put him on stage with deep purple, and nobody knew the difference. There are many legends out there you would never believe the true story, so they are never told.

A legend and one of the only remaining in this kind of instrumental music just great a truly artist in the studio and live not like the pop music or rap of today using all the time the auto tune or something
