I am sharing this on my facebook page. The upper case i for a lower case L in google got me. I thought the two messages were exactly the same. Thank you a million times over for keeping us informed.

You are correct about people rushing with an alleged time restraint.

Absolutely agree! In fact, I rarely directly 'reply' to an email from a financial institution. Instead I go directly to the related website. Yes I have anti-virus on my phone.

Thank you so much for this video. Not being tech savvy I would never have picked up on the ways these criminals are using AI and lettering to mask themselves as legit, cheers

Brilliant video. Alas, I have friends and family that won't even open this if I send it to them, yet most of them can hardly operate WA successfully. Alas, a fool and his money etc, etc. Thanks.

I have one more rule - I generally ignore text messages from businesses unless they are a consequence of something that I am doing and therefore I am expecting them. For example, a text message from Amazon or Google might be a legitimate form of two-factor authentication, but only if I receive it as I am trying to log into Amazon or Google. But messages that arrive overnight while I am sleeping are almost always bogus and are simply forwarded to 7726.

Liron you legend, priceless intel that drives down this sort of nefarious BS! Even if you save just a handful of incidents it's still worth it. Keep it up mate.

Thank you! Looking forward to your next video covering whether we need additional security software on our phones. If so, could you provide a top 2 or 3 software recommendations?

Treat any SMS (especially with an embedded link) as garbage. No exceptions. For your Android phone, check out Sophos, I find it works well.

The Philippine telcos currently started their KYCs (know your customer) for prepaid customers due to a new law enacted last year.
