Can I Sin Now and Ask for Forgiveness Later?

We hear stories of deathbed conversions—people seeking the Lord’s mercy in their final hour. This might tempt us to put off conversion and save our confessions for “another day”. This, my friends, is called the sin of presumption—the choice to sin because we know that God will forgive us. This grave sin prevents us from living in God’s grace today and receiving His mercy.

Fr. Mark-Mary proclaims that today is the day to repent. Today is the day to convert, to confess your sins and live in the glorious freedom promised to a child of God.

This is really hard with a sexual addiction such as masturbation, but I try to not do it again if I've fallen once. It's just really easy to get stuck in that cycle of going to Confession, receiving the Eucharist, then sinning later in the week and repeating the sin because you have to go to Confession anyway. It's hard to get out of that cycle.

The sin of presumption means you don’t necessarily care what Jesus Christ suffered through and gave His life for you. Don’t let satan have any power over you. Pray The Divine Mercy Chaplet, The Rosary and Surrender prayer daily. Contemplate on the different events in Jesus’ life in The Mysteries. Fast while you pray- make use of Holy Water and other Sacramentals. Holy Water is used to Baptize, bless, heal, remit venial sin, grant graces, indulgences and drive away demons. Receive Jesus in Holy Communion frequently, visit Him in The Adoration Chapel frequently. Listen to Gregorian Chants on low. All of these will drive satan and his demons away. No matter who you are or what sins you’ve committed, even if you sold your soul to the evil one, turn to God now! He’s waiting for you with open arms and Unfathomable Mercy. Nobody gets into Heaven without Jesus, He is the only way, truth and life. Jn 14:6

Honestly this video is very relevant for our time. I know that P*rnography is a big issue in our times and was a big issue in mine. It'll always be in the back of my mind but content like this helps remind myself that I made the right choice staying away from it.

May God have mercy on me also...i sin every day...am ashamed and sorry. I am weak, but i trust in Jesus unconditional love for me...for US! He knows our hearts and that we love him and hate sin. A prayer for me would be appreciated...thank you.

I love these vids so much. I have just finally overcome a reoccurring sin that I had this attitude of rejecting God's will and do it anyway. I would feel terrible every time but repeat it anyway. After MUCH prayer and God's grace have I overcome it. Thank you so much for this content. God bless.

I didn't grow up Catholic, but I got that message when I was younger. I did many bad things with the get-out-of-jail-free card in my back pocket. I was also told that Catholics did this every week. As long as they went to confession every week they could wipe the slate clean and then go live it up the rest of the week. I now know how wrong all that was, I did not get the message that it was a relationship until later on so please take my advice if you are committing this sin, please stop and work on your relationship with Christ. Do it now, not later. It gets so much harder to work out your bad habits the longer you have them.
