Thank you. I spent 20 minutes trying to locate the factory plastic (agitator) part with no success. I thought I might have to get a nail but the zip ties are a much better idea!

Thanks for the idea! I'm in the same boat with the disappearing agitator. Can't find a replacement anywhere. You saved me a lot of money!

Clever! I just bought one second hand, and was told it worked good, but there's no pusher inside. 🤨 Didn't notice till I got home. Not happy, but I guess I can fix it this way. Thanks!

If you love in cold weather and they keep breaking like mines which I use for salt too try radiator metal hose clamps

The Agitator - a part than can EAISLY fall out if spreader is turned upside down to empty or hose out etc - IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM They know it and your only alterative is to BUY a new 80-100 Dollar Spreader. Because of a 2 Dollar part they REFUSE to sell to customers. Buy another Brand like Agra Fab who sells replacement parts. Screw Scotts.
