19 killed, 84 wounded in shootings across Chicago during holiday weekend

Violence plagued Chicago over the four-day Fourth of July weekend. Police said 19 people were killed and 84 more were wounded Thursday through Sunday. Mayor Johnson and other city officials plan to speak about the weekend crime Monday morning.

Would someone on the news/media please point out to these people that Chicago is more violent than Northern Ireland was at the height of 'The Troubles' during the 1970s.
In the same space of time (1969-1999) whilst 3, 500 people died in Northern Ireland a staggering 40, 000+ died in Chicago ... and the two places have approximately the same population.
