Eating at Union Square Cafe. An Iconic NYC Restaurant

I eat at and review Union Square Cafe in New York City. The iconic restaurant was founded by restauranteur Danny Meyer who went on to create the Union Square Hospitality Group and Shake Shack. Union Square Cafe serves contemporary new American cuisine. I also feel that the restaurant offers a great Restaurant Week deal.

Danny Meyer has done wonderful things. The USHG has changed restaurants in Manhattan, for the better. Truly some of the best in the city! Another great review sir!

They used to have a couple of items on their menu that seem to have disappeared...their Black Bean Soup (with a shot of sherry added for a few bucks more. And their famous big fat Tuna Burger on a Brioche Bun with a spicy cabbage slaw. Ah, the memories...

Nice review. I've never been there, but I'm sure it's very good. Glad you got the founding date right... a lot of people seem to think it's been there much longer. I have been to Blue Smoke. Very good, but expensive. I also recommend Hill Country BBQ on West 26th St.
Where you were sitting in Stuyvesant Square Park is about 2 blocks from 4 different hospitals.
I think I've been in every one of them at one time or another (mostly visiting).

In my personal experiences, I’ve often felt if the food didn’t meet my expectations, that my menu choices weren’t as considered as they should have been. Clearly, you have those kinds of decisions down to a science.
