This Win11 tutorial explains how to remove EFI system partition, ESP, on your SSD or hard drive, remove system partition or recovery partition using Windows 11, it can be removed when a drive is used to store data and files and no longer contain a used Windows OS installation, very smart to clean unused partitions when you put your drives to new uses.

NOTE: EFI System Partition is essential for booting your operating system. Don't delete the EFI or other system partitions on the disk that contains your Windows installation, as it is necessary for booting, only delete EFI on secondary or media storage drives that no longer has windows installed on it. Recovery partition if active contains important files to recover the system if it has failure so do that only on extra storage drive and not main windows os drive.

Doesn't work for me. It says "Virtual Disk Service error: Delete is not allowed on the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume." when I try to delete it

i can't seem to find a straight answer for this anywhere and i'm getting some conflicting info
if i delete one partition (and efi partition) using this method, will it erase the contents of my other partitions? some people say it will and some say it won't.

that part about keeping space unallocated for SSD's to make it last longer is a myth more than anything else. just mentioning that, good video nontheless mate.

Driving me crazy even after I did all the steps it's telling me partition 0 cannot be deleted I was trying to clone the original hard drive to m.2 didn't so so I reallocated the m.2 except for that partition 0 won't delete Even after I follow your steps to the letter
