My biochemistry proffesor said that being on a carb restricted diet can lead to a ketoacidosis, ketones on normal people are used in the same way as people with T1D... Also, ketones are acids so their presence in blood might lower the pH in it, leading to an acidosis. Please, could you explain your point deeper? Thanks

People should stop promoting keto, it's not a diet anyone should adhere to without doctor supervision. Everyone should eat a diverse diet and that includes carbs. For me, the Agoge diet plan worked wonders, I no longer have visible cellulite and lost significant amounts of fat.

That didn’t help at all. They forgot to give numerical values. Duh.. also, everywhere I look they talk about ketone numbers like 6 or 7. But my ketone breathalyzer tells me I’m at 61 or 66. Am I missing a decimal place? Or am I dangerously high? Who knows. I feel totally fine and have been water fasting for 22 days. Blood sugar is stable between 3.4 and 4.1, and I have plenty of energy. I can sprint up and down stairs no problem and can do push-ups and squats. Taking electrolytes and the odd multivitamin maybe every 2-3 days. Dropping2 lbs per day. Am I in danger??

As a T1D, I am doing very low carb and showing high ketones in urine. Is this Ketosis or Ketoacidosis?

My doctor is stupid. I tried to explain this to her and she just said YOU'RE WRONG.

So I'm on a Keto diet and I tested myself with a urine strip and the color results show my level of Ketones are between 10-16 MMOL/L. Should I be concerned?

First off, I’m not a doctor nor I am giving medical advice. This is just my opinion. Only time ketosis should be reached is if and when you’re doing an extended fast. We are carbon based and thrive off carbohydrates. Every cell needs glucose, not from fat. I firmly believe you should avoid meat, dairy and all processed foods. Fat causes insulin resistance. Not to mention animal protein has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, cancer and a plethora of other problems. An ideal diet, especially for a diabetic, would be fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds and herbs. With supplementation of minerals and vitamins that are bioavailable to the body. Just my 2 cents. Mostly everyone disagrees with me stance but that’s ok. Orchestra leads turns his back to the crowd to lead the symphony. Have a nice day and godbless🙏

The Agoge diet is so much better than the keto diet, you get the same results without feeling like shit.

If you want to lose fat, you should not jeopardize your health with the keto diet. I recommend getting a personalized diet. I've had great success with the Agoge diet for example.

It is not possible to follow keto long term and stay healthy. I tried it, and it was awful. I recommend the Agoge diet though, because it's diverse and will help you lose fat without starving yourself.
